Get your documents in tiptop shape
We at BINDER attach great importance to orderliness and conscientious work. Please therefore send us your complete set of application documents in orderly form, ideally in an attractive folder. At minimum, this should contain: a cover letter tailored to the job, r?sum? in table format, all relevant training experience and letters of reference from past employers as well as a current photo in appropriate clothing.
Tell us why you should get the job
Your cover letter should tell us a little bit about you and why you are best candidate for the job you are seeking. Ideally, you should keep the text short and concise, clearly emphasizing your abilities. We here at BINDER value pragmatism and directness. Tell us why we would benefit from hiring you-and why you want to work for BINDER.
Send us a page of your life
Life is too short for having to wade through longwinded documents. Your r?sum? should be clearly and chronologically structured. One DIN A4 page is enough-unless you already have a long career behind you. Start with your personal information (name, address, telephone, date and place of birth, marital status). This should be followed by school, training or university studies, internships, career experience, foreign languages, international work experiences, activities and hobbies.
Arrange additional documents in a sensible manner
According to a German proverb, "Order is half of life." Please therefore arrange your additional documents in sensible groups. Remember: your documents are your most important references. They include letters of reference from past employers, confirmation of internships, grades and all other relevant written references and reports.
A picture often says more than 1,000 words
According to psychologists, the photograph is the most important element of applications in 50% of all cases. In keeping with this, you should use a good photograph of yourself. A professional portrait photograph will make you look better than a picture from an automatic photo booth. It is important that the picture of you be up to date. Have yourself photographed in business clothing-after all, we want to know what you look like in a "working environment."
